Beautiful iconic art deco lamp manufactured in Germany the inter war period, made coompletely out of bakelite, with a design attributed to Christian Dell who was the Bauhaus master for the metal workshop. Manufacturer were the Ika Werke
The originality of this lampe resides in the very ingenious bakelite moulding technique used to achieve the best ease of use without using too many parts . The lamp arms rest on a streamlined base, but movements of the arm are limited to a small rotating angle. The bakelite is in excellent condition and very shiny.
